Brief introduction of n-acetylneural acid
نوشته شده توسط : safb

Classification: carbohydrate

In nature, the enzyme (Flax lignans) that hydrolyzes and removes terminal n-acetylneuraminidase is widely distributed from virus to animal. By dealing with the physiological activity changes of the enzyme, the role of the terminal acid sugar residue has been clarified. For example, this Sweet Potato Powder forms the binding site of influenza virus in the red blood cell membrane, and plays a major role in the mutual recognition of plasma glycoprotein and liver cells or the recognition mechanism of lymphocytes on the circulation pathway. Although the biosynthesis pathway is somewhat different in animals and bacteria, Gardenia Yellow is formed by the reaction of N-acetylmannosamine or its 6-phosphate, which is catalyzed by specific pyrophosphatase and CTP to produce CMP-N-acetylneuraminic acid, and then incorporated into the sugar chain by glycosylation.

n-acetylneuraminic acid is the most widely distributed N-acyl neuraminic acid in nature. It is mainly composed of glycoprotein, glycolipid or bacterial capsule material in animal cell membrane or secretion. In Capsicum Oleoresin or glycolipid, 2-keto group forms glycosidic bond, which makes it located at the non reducing end of sugar side chain. Its negative charge or unique chemical structure makes it have various physiological specificity.
